A professional who retired from the oil and gas industry in 2021, currently working as an Adjunct Mathematics Professor at Central Wyoming College (Riverton, WY) since August 2020. They teach undergraduate mathematics courses ranging from remedial math to college algebra and tutor local students—from middle schoolers to those taking AP Calculus—as well as college-level learners.
Prior to this, they served as a Senior Petrophysicist at Energen Resources and Diamondback Energy (Birmingham, AL) from September 2012 to February 2021. In that role, they oversaw in-house interpretation and technical support for all well log data, built and maintained a database of over 4,000 West Texas wells, and optimized perforation selection in vertical/horizontal wells to maximize hydrocarbon production via hydraulic fracturing. They also delivered tool theory presentations and provided formation evaluation training.
