A materials chemist specializing in liquid crystal synthesis and characterization. Completed PhD at the University of Aberdeen in 2019, focusing on twist-bend nematic phases. Currently Lecturer in Chemistry at Aberdeen, teaching organic, analytical, and materials chemistry courses while coordinating teaching laboratories. Previously held a postdoctoral research fellowship at Aberdeen’s Institute of Medical Sciences, working on a commercial project with Cohen Pharmaceuticals. Also served as Research Fellow at TauRx Therapeutics. Recipient of the Royal Society of Chemistry Prize in Analytical Chemistry and multiple university prizes.
