A creative writing educator with an MFA from the University of California, Davis, I have taught undergraduate courses in fiction and nonfiction as an Associate Instructor, developing original syllabi that incorporate classical and contemporary readings. My teaching emphasizes writing workshops, close textual analysis, and structured peer feedback to help students identify strengths and refine their work. I currently serve as Adjunct Professor at the UC Davis International Center, where I design accessible Canvas courses for non-native English speakers, fostering confidence in spoken English and cultural understanding through research, discussion, and lecture. My teaching practice is grounded in inclusive pedagogy, timely and detailed feedback, and a commitment to helping students develop transferable writing and editing skills across disciplines.
