Dr. Essam Mahmoud Ahmed Ali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Assiut University, Egypt, with over 15 years of teaching and research experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering from Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Alexandria, Egypt (2022), an M.Sc. in Electrical Power and Machines, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Assiut University. My research interests include Li-Ion battery state of health (SOH) and remaining useful life (RUL) prediction, battery digital twin development, IoT-based energy system monitoring, edge computing for electric vehicles, power electronics in renewable energy systems, and energy-efficient electric aircraft and hybrid vehicles. I have published in international journals and conferences including Sustainability, IEEE Access, and Drones. I have taught a wide range of undergraduate courses including Power Systems Control, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, Electric Circuits.
