He is an Associate Professor of Civil and Structural Engineering at Shenyang University of Technology (SUT, China, since Jan 2023), specializing in structural engineering—with core expertise in reinforced concrete (RC) structures under extreme dynamic loads (blast, impact), FRP strengthening, finite element (FE) simulation, and concrete technology. He holds a Post-Doc Fellowship (Qingdao University of Technology, 2019–2022), PhD (National University of Malaysia, UKM, 2012–2017), MSc (UKM, 2009–2010), and BSc (IAU University of Technology, 2000–2004), all in Civil/Structural Engineering.
With over 15 years of academic and industrial experience, he has published 23+ peer-reviewed journal papers (e.g., in Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering, Composite Structures) and 10+ conference proceedings, with multiple papers earning “Highly Cited” awards from Web of Science. He is proficient in FE software (LS-DYNA, ANSYS, ABAQUS) and structural design tools (ETABS, SAP), and has led research on blast damage assessment, FRP retrofitting, and PI (Pressure-Impulse) model development. Beyond academia, he has worked as a Senior Project Manager and Geotechnical/Concrete Lab Manager in Iran, and serves as a guest editor for international journals (e.g., Structures). He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) and American Concrete Institute (ACI).
